CLAYFACE

Clayface is an upcoming American body-horror psychological thriller based on the eponymous character from DC Comics. Directed by James Watkins and written by Mike Flanagan and Hossein Amini, it is the third film in the DC Universe (DCU). Tom Rhys Harries stars as Matt Hagen / Clayface, alongside Naomi Ackie, David Dencik, Max Minghella, and Eddie Marsan. In the film, Hagen is an actor whose face is disfigured, and he turns to a scientist (Ackie) who transforms his body into clay, but he begins to lose his sanity because he can no longer recognize himself. Matt Reeves and Lynn Harris produced it alongside James Gunn and Peter Safran of DC Studios.

After expressing interest in a Clayface film both publicly and to DC Films for their DC Extended Universe (DCEU) franchise, Flanagan pitched the project to the newly formed DC Studios in March 2023. The film and Flanagan’s involvement were confirmed in December 2024 as part of the DCU, the DCEU’s successor. Flanagan couldn’t direct the film because of scheduling issues. Watkins was hired in February 2025, Amini was rewriting the script by May, and Rhys Harries was cast in June. Additional casting took place in the following months. Filming ran from the end of August to the start of November 2025, on location throughout Liverpool and on soundstages at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in England.

Clayface premiered at the Hollywood Legion Theater in Los Angeles on October 13, 2026, and is scheduled for release in the United States on October 23, 2026. It will be part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters.

CAPTURING BIGFOOT

Capturing Bigfoot is a 2026 American documentary film directed by Marq Evans. The film reports new information about the often-cited 1967 film clip purported to show a walking Bigfoot, known as the Patterson–Gimlin film, and the men who filmed it, Roger Patterson and Robert “Bob” Gimlin. Capturing Bigfoot is based on new and revealing film footage given to Evans in 2022, which had been locked away in a safe for decades, as well as interviews with Patterson’s son Clint Patterson and people associated with the 1967 film.

Synopsis

The documentary centers on the personalities of Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin, who claimed in 1967 to have 59 seconds of footage showing a Bigfoot walking through a wooded area of northern California. Through interviews, Evans “creates rounded profiles of the good ol’ boys at the heart of the story, none of whom seem completely trustworthy.”[8] Telling a fuller picture of who Roger Patterson was, Evans leans on Clint Patterson, whose relationship with his father was considered “hero worship,” but the son also called him a “liar.”[7][8] The end of Capturing Bigfoot claims to show the recently found footage of Patterson and Gimlin rehearsing.[5][7]
