PRACTICAL MAGIC 2
Practical Magic 2 is a 2026 American romantic fantasy film directed by Susanne Bier from a screenplay by Akiva Goldsman, Georgia Pritchett, and Kelly Marcel, based on the 2021 novel The Book of Magic by Alice Hoffman. The sequel to Practical Magic (1998), the film stars Sandra Bullock, Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest, and Stockard Channing reprising their roles from the previous film, alongside new cast members Joey King, Lee Pace, Maisie Williams, and Xolo Maridueña. Practical Magic 2 is scheduled for release in the United States on September 10, 2026.
Premise
Set twenty-five years after the events of the first film,[3] the story follows the Owens family as they face a new crisis when a discovery regarding the family’s history and the origins of their magic comes to light. As Sally’s daughter (Kylie) uncovers hidden family secrets and develops her own dark abilities, the family is plunged into a multigenerational struggle to break the curse that has haunted their lineage for centuries. The Owens women (Sally, Gillian, and their aunts) must once again unite, traveling from their home in Massachusetts to the United Kingdom to confront the source of their magic and save the next generation of their family.
