Haunted Heist is a 2026 American comedy horror film written by Carl Reid, directed by Lil Rel Howery, and starring Howery and Tiffany Haddish. It is Howery’s directorial debut.[1]
When Karlous Miller’s character gets out of jail, he convinces his three best friends, played by Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, and King Bach, to celebrate his homecoming at an Airbnb. What they don’t know is that he has a plan to steal a $20 million antique hidden inside the house. What none of them planned for is that the house is haunted. Haunted Heist stars Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, King Bach, Karlous Miller, Brett Gelman, Tony Baker, Ari Dayan, and Tara Terry. Written by Carl Reid and directed by Lil Rel Howery.

A Sad and Beautiful World (Arabic: نجوم الأمل و الألم) is a 2025 Arabic-language romantic comedy-drama film co-written and directed by Cyril Aris in his debut feature film. Set in Beirut, it follows childhood sweethearts Nino (Hasan Akil) and Yasmina (Mounia Akl), who had lost sight of one another, reuniting in their 20s against the backdrop of political turmoil and social collapse in present-day Lebanon.[1]
The film had its world premiere at the Giornate degli Autori sidebar section during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on 31 August 2025,[2][3] where it shared the section’s People’s Choice Award.[4] It was selected as the Lebanese entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 98th Academy Awards, but it was not nominated.[5][6]

WILD INSIDE – FLACO THE OWL DOCUMENTARY
Penny Lane’s latest feature documentary, “Wild Inside,” about the Eurasian eagle-owl named Flaco who escaped from the Central Park Zoo, generating a global following and launching a million memes, will have its world premiere on July 29 in New York’s Central Park at a special outdoor screening.
The event is free and open to the public, and the setting is appropriate since Central Park was the site of the zoo where Flaco lived in captivity and where he was seen after vandals damaged his enclosure, leaving a hole from which he escaped.
The film will open at Manhattan’s IFC Center on July 31 and play at select theaters nationwide, including a series of one-off screenings for International Owl Awareness Day on Aug. 4. HBO Documentary Films is producing the picture.
“Wild Inside” will be the second film directed by Lane to be released theatrically by Sandbox Films. The studio released Lane’s SXSW award-winning “Confessions of a Good Samaritan” in U.S. theaters in 2023. Her other credits include “Listening to Kenny G,” “Hail Satan?” and “Our Nixon.”
