GREENLAND 2: MIGRATION

Greenland 2: Migration is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic survival disaster thriller film directed by Ric Roman Waugh and written by Chris Sparling and Mitchell LaFortune. The sequel to Greenland (2020), the film stars Gerard Butler and Morena Baccarin reprising their roles, alongside Roman Griffin Davis (who replaces Roger Dale Floyd), Amber Rose Revah, Gordon Alexander, Peter PolycarpouWilliam Abadie, and Tommie Earl Jenkins.[3]

The film is scheduled to be released in the United States on January 9, 2026, by Lionsgate.

Synopsis

Five years after the Clarke interstellar comet destroyed most of Earth, the Garrity family must leave the safety of the Greenland bunker and embark on a perilous journey across the wasteland of Europe to find a new home.[4][5]

DEADMAN’S WIRE

Dead Man’s Wire is a 2025 American crime thriller film directed by Gus Van Sant and written by Austin Kolodney, working with historical consultants Alan Berry and Mark Enochs, who together made the 2018 documentary Dead Man’s Line, examining the same events. The film is inspired by the 1977 hostage standoff involving Tony Kiritsis.[4] It stars Bill Skarsgård as Kiritsis, alongside an ensemble cast that includes Dacre MontgomeryCary ElwesMyha’laColman Domingo, and Al Pacino.

The film premiered out of competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2025, and is scheduled for a wide theatrical release on January 16, 2026, by Row K Entertainment.[5]

The film is inspired by the 1977 Indianapolis hostage standoff involving Tony Kiritsis and centers on the escalation of a public confrontation shaped by negotiation, media attention, and law enforcement response.[6][7]

PRIMATE

Primate is a 2025 American natural horror film directed by Johannes Roberts, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Ernest Riera. It stars Johnny SequoyahJessica Alexander, and Troy Kotsur.

The film premiered at the Fantastic Fest on September 18, 2025, and is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 9, 2026, by Paramount Pictures. It received generally positive reviews from critics.

Premise

A tropical vacation goes awry when Ben, a family’s adopted chimpanzee, is bitten by a rabid animal and suddenly becomes violent.

THE RAJASAAB

The RajaSaab is an upcoming Indian Telugu-language fantasy horror comedy film[1] written and directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment.  The film stars Prabhas, alongside Sanjay DuttBoman IraniNidhhi AgerwalMalavika Mohanan (in her Telugu film debut), Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab.  In the film, a man searching for his missing grandfather finds himself in a mansion inhabited by a sinister presence.

The project was officially announced in January 2024, though principal photography began earlier in October 2022.  The film’s music is composed by Thaman S, with cinematography by Karthik Palani and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.[9]

The film is scheduled to theatrically release worldwide on 9 January 2026, coinciding with Sankranti.

Premise

The plot revolves around a young man, who sets his eyes on his ancestral property to ease him out of a cash crunch.[10]
