
ROOFMAN
Roofman is a 2025 American crime comedy film starring Channing Tatum as the real-life spree robber Jeffrey Manchester. Derek Cianfrance directs it. The film also stars Kirsten Dunst, Ben Mendelsohn, LaKeith Stanfield, Juno Temple, Melonie Diaz, Uzo Aduba, Lily Collias, Jimmy O. Yang, and Peter Dinklage.
Roofman had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2025, and is scheduled for release in the United States on October 10, 2025, by Paramount Pictures and Miramax.
Premise
The film is a biopic of the fugitive Jeffrey Manchester, a former United States Army Reserve non-commissioned officer, known colloquially as Roofman due to his propensity to steal from branches of McDonald’s after entering their premises via the roof. Most notably, after escaping prison by hiding underneath a prison bus, he evaded capture by police by hiding in the wall of a vacant Circuit City store that was located next to a then-active Toys “R” Us store.[2]

SOUL ON FIRE
Soul on Fire is an upcoming American biographical drama film about John O’Leary, a real-life St. Louis native who survived fire burns that covered his entire body.[2] It is directed by Sean McNamara based on a screenplay by Gregory Poirier that adapted O’Leary’s book On Fire, The 7 Choices to Ignite a Radically Inspired Life.[3] The film stars William H. Macy, John Corbett, and Joel Courtney, the latter portraying O’Leary.
It is set to be released in the United States and Canada on October 10, 2025, by Sony Pictures Releasing.

TRON: ARES
Tron: Ares (stylized as TRON: Ares) is an upcoming American science fiction action film that is the third installment in the Tron series and the sequel to Tron: Legacy (2010). It features an ensemble cast including Jared Leto, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo Castro, and Gillian Anderson, with Jeff Bridges reprising his role as Kevin Flynn from the previous films. The film is directed by Joachim Rønning from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow, based on a story by David Digilio and Wigutow.
Development of a sequel to Tron: Legacy began in October 2010, under the direction of franchise creator Steven Lisberger. In March 2017, Walt Disney Pictures shifted plans toward a soft reboot with Leto playing a new character. Garth Davis was set as director in August 2020 when Wigutow was working on the script, but stepped down in January 2023. Rønning replaced him a month later. Production was expected to begin in August 2023 but was delayed by the 2023 Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Filming ultimately started in January 2024 in Vancouver and wrapped in May. By August, industrial rock band Nine Inch Nails was composing the score. The band’s members, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, served as executive producers on the film, alongside Legacy director Joseph Kosinski.
Tron: Ares is scheduled to be released in the United States by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures on October 10, 2025.

KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN
Kiss of the Spider Woman is a 2025 American musical drama film that is a film adaptation of the 1992 stage musical, itself based on the 1976 novel. It is written and directed by Bill Condon. Jennifer Lopez stars in the titular role, alongside Diego Luna and Tonatiuh.[2] It is the second adaptation, following the 1985 adaptation.
Kiss of the Spider Woman premiered at the Sundance Film Festival on January 26, 2025, receiving generally positive reviews from critics.[3][4] It is set to be released theatrically in the United States on October 10, 2025, by Lionsgate, Roadside Attractions, and LD Entertainment.
Premise
Valentín, a political prisoner, shares a cell with Molina, a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Ingrid Luna.[5]
