
BUGONIA
Bugonia is a 2025 absurdist black comedy film directed by Yorgos Lanthimos. It is an English-language remake of the 2003 South Korean film Save the Green Planet! by Jang Joon-hwan. A co-production of Ireland, South Korea, and the United States, the film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone. It follows two young men who kidnap a powerful CEO, suspecting that she is secretly an alien who wants to destroy Earth.
Development on the film began as early as 2020, with Jang attached to direct and Tracy adapting the screenplay. Ari Aster came on board as producer soon after, and by February 2024, Lanthimos was hired to direct, replacing Jang, while Stone joined the project both as an actress and producer. Plemons joined the cast that May, and it was soon acquired by Focus Features for distribution at the Cannes Film Festival. Principal photography began in July in High Wycombe, England, and Atlanta, Georgia, during which time, the rest of the cast was announced. Additional filming took place in May 2025 in Milos, Greece.
Bugonia had its world premiere in the main competition of the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 28, 2025, and is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States by Focus Features on October 24, 2025.
Synopsis
Two conspiracy-obsessed young men kidnap the high-powered CEO of a major company, convinced that she is an alien intent on destroying planet Earth.[4][2]

SPRINGSTEEN: DELIVER ME FROM NOWHERE
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere is a 2025 American biographical musical drama film starring Jeremy Allen White as Bruce Springsteen. Written and directed by Scott Cooper, and based on the 2023 book Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes, it chronicles the conception of Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska. The film also stars Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Stephen Graham, Odessa Young, Gaby Hoffmann, Marc Maron and David Krumholtz.
Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere had its world premiere at the 52nd Telluride Film Festival on August 29, 2025, with its United States theatrical release by 20th Century Studios set for two months later on October 24. The film received positive reviews from critics.
Plot
The film chronicles the making of Bruce Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska when he was a young musician on the cusp of global superstardom, struggling to reconcile the pressures of success with the ghosts of his past. Recorded on a 4-track recorder in Springsteen’s New Jersey bedroom, the album marked a pivotal time in his life and is considered one of his most enduring works—a stark, somber acoustic record portraying the lives of blue-collar workers who try to succeed in life but fail at every turn, while searching for a deliverance that never comes.

BLUE MOON
Blue Moon is a 2025 American biographical comedy-drama film directed by Richard Linklater and written by Robert Kaplow. The film follows songwriter Lorenz Hart (Ethan Hawke) as he reflects on himself on the opening night of Oklahoma!, a new musical by his former colleague Richard Rodgers (Andrew Scott). It also stars Margaret Qualley, Bobby Cannavale, and Jonah Lees.
The film had its world premiere at the main competition of the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, on February 18, 2025, where it won the Silver Bear for Best Supporting Performance for Scott.[4] It was theatrically released in the United States by Sony Pictures Classics on October 17.
Plot
Largely set on March 31, 1943, the opening night of Rodgers and Hammerstein‘s Oklahoma!, Richard Rodgers‘s former creative partner Lorenz Hart struggles with alcoholism and depression.[5] Most of the plot takes place at the bar of the New York Theater District restaurant Sardi’s. Slipping out of Oklahoma!’s opening night, the semi-closeted Hart arrives at Sardi’s ahead of the afterparty to get drunk and complain about his former creative partner’s new hit musical. The barman lends an ear while trying not to serve Hart liquor.[6]
